As a cis-het dude, I confess the particularly intense grief I've seen from queer folk in response to a lesbian woman's ending caught me off-guard. I thought this was an incredible final moment for Sophie to portray, honoring her Moiraine relationship - but I find my limitations and I try to learn.

I am not surprised about Suian, shocked in the moment, but I can see how it makes sense for the show. I know she has much more to do in the books, but we're more than a third of the way through the show (assuming 8 seasons, and only a quarter of the way through the books) - so, narrative cuts ahoy!

I do feel like they had to leave a bunch of stuff out - Tanchico in particular felt very rushed (oh! for 10 shows in a season! Why, Amazon? why?!)
I am delighted we got some Finn content, but my goodness, it was brief and show-only watchers must be WTF'd out, but I hope there's more to come.

The lack of spoiler discipline over in the Blight is crazy. I'm glad I'd watched the finale before having a wander through there to gauge the reactions. People just letting fly with unfiltered reactions, screenshots of certain huge moments... no tags whatsoever. Happy to be under #WoTSkies again!

I just found her for this season's reactions, but she's one I am always looking out for now, and I'll be going back to watch her S1&2 reactions too. Very perceptive, able to give what I would describe as very considered insight despite reacting in real-time.
She deserves a ton more subscribers.

When Rand kills him in Falme, he welcomes death as a blissful nothingness - his sweet release.
So when he awakes as Moridin, in a new body, still tied to the Wheel and the DO's will, his dream atomised by the inexorability of his dark oaths, imagine how *unhinged* it makes him.

Rafe, make it so.

He was gentle with the little girl in the S2:1 cold open, rejecting the idea he was a monster. Ultimately his alignment with the Shadow was a philosophical one, born out of the widespread suffering he saw. And the "big dream" was freedom from the Wheel of Time, and for that he needed the Dark One.

Dana's speech about release from the tyranny of the Wheel is pure Ishy discipleship, and his approach to Liandrin as an abused victim is to offer help. Perhaps he would have genuinely helped Min with her visions...

To be fair, four whole years of rank ineptitude and immoral turpitude (with a treasonous interlude) is a small sample size from which to induce how he would act *this* time round...

Lanfear: "Team Lanfear or Team Eugene, or whatever her name is?"
Egwene: It's Egwene!
Lanfear: alright Yvonne, it was an honest mistake!

Ugh. How many times have I to tell YouTube, "Do Not Recommend"?
I don't care if you don't like the show (I certainly have had my complaints about it) but "here's my 23rd video about this 'unwatchable' show!" reeks of unbearable hate-grifting.

I hate that I'm paying them extra to avoid them, but I had to for Wheel of Time. Post-S3 I'll turn them back on again until S4.

We don't even have Taim yet. I don't think they should attempt it until season 5 and use season 4 to see the Black Tower and let it established itself. I know we're running out of road if we're only doing 8 seasons, but I think books 4-6 should get the most time out of all to do it right.

Ha. I'm not crazy about the choice to attribute all the Bubble stuff to Lanfear in truth. It could have been left as a BoE and still had the effect of scaring the EF5 away from Rand.
But AoL tech does make for a fine deus ex machina when needs be.

Seeing this was like someone dumped a bucket of nostalgia over me. That cartoon was everything for a hot minute.

The glimpse through the Bore looks to me like a neural map of taint, perhaps a nod to the DO being an entity of mind/will rather than a physical person.
