The conclusions from Secretary of State & Public Enquiry around the Sandbanks Ferry company's plans:
Plans to charge to road access from near Knoll car park to the ferry haven't been approved. But they haven't been 100% ruled out either, so there is still a risk of the ferry company trying again

Strictly Sandbanks is out of the Studland patch. However, South Haven, Studland can be a good place to scope the Sandbanks groynes for Purple Sands in the winter. From the Ex site this AM

Hi @harbourbirds.bsky.social The first Great Northern Diver of the Autumn flew into the harbour 19 days ago. Albeit, I've not seen it since, so maybe it departed soon after

On a positive, South Haven, Studland will be a place for the birds first for the next few weeks: with no disturbance from dogs chasing the birds on the beach, after being brought over the first ferry onwards
Albeit some Purbeck dog walkers will still be around

Anyone who visits Studland for whatever reason may wish to attend this…..
This is going to impact anybody who wants to visit the Studland peninsula by car from the village
Plus, more pressure on the Studland village car parks with more visitors forced to go there, to avoid exorbitant fees

The other highlights at Brands Bay this AM was a too-awake Adder that got off the path before I could grab a photo
This Fox Moth caterpillar was more dozy
