Abstract #nude. I painted this while reflecting on women's blood, and the way it permeates so many facets of life and society (whether it be menstruation, abortion, maternal deaths, femicide, or birth) and yet we struggle to talk about it openly.

A lucky four-petal trillium I found once upon a time. I love the cold weather, but this year I'm yearning for spring in the mountains. All of my forest muses are sleeping, and I miss them. These trilliums are also called Painted Ladies. (Trillium undulatum) #trilliums #wildflowers #Appalachia
