I hope you have found a friend

I don’t know how anyone could look at this sidewalk repair and NOT see Batman.

Tough life lesson… My nine-year-old was sketching the seagulls as they sauntered between beachgoers. I snapped this pic of his masterpiece-in-progress just before we heard the squawks of a gull above. Aaaaand… well… let’s just say his piece suddenly looked more like a Jackson Pollock painting.

Each month, I’m launching a brand-new design over on my Bonfire page. When a new tee drops, the previous design gets retired—so if you see one you love, grab it before it’s gone for good!

I know I’m not the only Muppet nerd out there who’s bummed out that Muppet*Vision 3D is closing at Disney World. I suspect it’ll return in some form. I’m excited to see what they do with Muppets and Rockin Rollercoaster though. 🤓

Also, has anyone else noticed how Mike Birbiglia is popping up in all the podcasts? It’s like he’s Dr. Strange in some sort of podcast multi-verse. OR when you saw Yogi Bear hanging out with Huckleberry Hound and Snagglepuss.

Congratulations to Mike Birbiglia whose comedy special deputed in Netflix’s Top Ten. I drew these gesture sketches when I caught The Good Life on Birbiglia’s tour. It’s heartfelt, funny, and dark—a true Birbiglian performance.

A piece I created several years ago for my kids' school Pride party. Sending love and solidarity to all families in the LGBTQ+ community!

I am trying to get in a better habit of reaching for my sketchbook instead of my phone when I have small, in-between moments. So, when I took my daughters to the mall, I grabbed a pocket-sized sketchbook.

My pug just pops up on the couch and plops his butt right on my shoulder. Glad you’re comfortable, Frank!
