It was “College Country Night,” a night popular with college students in the area, and seven of the people killed were in college. We hold all the victims, survivors, and the entire Thousand Oaks community in our hearts. We continue our work to #EndGunViolence in their honor.

Our places of worship should be safe from gun violence. Today and every day, we hold the victims, their loved ones, and the entire Sutherland Springs community in our hearts. We honor them with action as we continue our work to #EndGunViolence in America.

We hold the victims, survivors, and the entire Jewish community of Pittsburgh in our hearts. In their honor, we continue working to #DisarmHate and make sure that no one else will have to experience their pain again.

The Tree of Life synagogue is in Squirrel Hill, one of the largest Jewish neighborhoods in America and the center of Pittsburgh’s Jewish community. Its congregation was targeted because of their beliefs. White supremacy is inherently violent, but easy access to guns only makes it deadlier.

It is the deadliest mass shooting in Maine’s history, and Lewiston was forever changed. Four of the people shot and killed at the bar were playing in a New England Deaf Cornhole League game, devastating Maine's tight-knit deaf community.

These shootings occured within about 24 hours of three other shootings across Mississippi that left at least eight people dead and multiple others wounded—one on a high school football field.

Gun violence is gun violence—no matter who pulls the trigger. Our lawmakers need to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. The bill makes it a duty for officers to intervene when another officer is using excessive force.

Atatiana should be alive today, pursuing her dreams of going to medical school and watching Zion grow up. Instead, her bright future was stolen from her by police violence, and her loved ones are forced to mourn her. Zion lives with the trauma of the shooting to this day.
