I especially remember a college professor of mine, a WW2 vet, who was very out and public about his service when the right wing was being all shitty about gay ppl in the military in the 1990s. He reminded the media that tons of gays had already served and were serving.

If you have astigmatism, use only one eye at a time, and then rotate the glasses CW or CCW, does it improve things or make it blurrier? If it improves things to rotate one or both lenses like this, consider a different prescription, as sometimes the astigmatism shifts.

If you are nearsighted: does it help or make it worse to tilt your glasses forward on your face, so you're looking through an effectively thicker lens? If it helps, consider a stronger prescription.
