Absolutely! Apparently the building was restored a few years ago and now looks even mere amazing....especially on the inside. It dates back to 1870. It's a masterpiece of design and engineering.

Department store cafes in the US seem to have gone extinct but I remember the most amazing experience I had in Paris many years ago: there was a restaurant at the top floor of La Samaritaine department store with a spectacular view. The food was incredible. The top floor is the restaurant.

Mmmm hot dogs.... Takes me back to my Brooklyn days when I was a kid. Original Nathan's franks were the best! And yes, they served chow mein sandwiches!

But but...the bourgeoise meatballs! The word L'ANGLAISE! So what if that is the French word for ENGLISH! And I'm sure they had FRENCH fries and FRENCH toast on the breakfast menu! So VERY continental.

First time making a NY Strip Roast. Dry brine in the fridge for 2 days, Sous vide for 6 hrs at 128 for then pan sear. Came out AMAZING... better than prime rib and much easier to handle!
