..and there's also these things called batteries which can store energy at peak generation times and releases it later. Finland has just unveiled a massive sand battery that can store enough heat for a town for a week. There are solutions . polarnightenergy.com/news/worlds-...

Yeah I'd love 40k Epic to return and I'd totally run Votann/Squats. Still have a bunch of old eldar but more of a dwarf guy these days. Imperialis looks bit dull to me in comparison to 40k epic.

I had that one too, bought it on holiday when we visited the Lake District and I inevitably found a shop selling fantasy things.. brilliant poster.

He looks like he is straining in vain to avoid losing control of his bowels after eating dodgy shellfish..

@jonathandbeer.bsky.social Read your eshort the other night, as a Votann player I loved it. How you characterised them and the AdMech was fantastic, I'm not an Admech fan but they were so interesting with their hunger for knowledge. Votann Reddit are currently discussing it. Brilliant work mate.

There has been some trials over here in NI in adding bio gas into the existing gas network, not sure of the efficiency or carbon issues but it seems like a win-win, clean up/effectively deal with waste and harness an energy supply. My preference is solar+batteries though.

Obviously I have no research but I'm curious as to why grass? Could we harvest methane through anaerobic digesters of food/animal/human waste? If you tie it in with our sewage system then biogas would be sustainable and locally produced in hubs.

Yeah Eldar and dark eldar I find pretty challenging to paint well, happily painting my Nids and Votann now though!

And nobody saw this coming... this is what America voted for.

This!!! Millionaires asking to be taxed and the govt runs in the opposite direction? They can afford to pay a fair rate of tax, they benefit from living in a happier healthier society.
March 20, 2025 at 10:32 AM
Its bonkers.. a wealth tax would generate far more income for the state and begin to narrow inequality. This just pushes the hardest load onto those who can shoulder it the least. Inequality is going to continue to get worse. I do wonder who is pressuring them to go this direction, it makes no sense
March 20, 2025 at 10:16 AM
Rejoin and introduce a wealth tax and put the money back into the NHS, education, welfare .. defence and get things moving positively again.
March 20, 2025 at 10:11 AM
Its absolutely crazy they aren't tackling inequality but hitting the poorest hardest. Tax the people that can afford it fairly and invest in the country for everyone - NHS, public transport, education .. defence.. and rejoin the EU while they are at it. Hope France does this and Labour take the hint

So great see these guys! I had eldar at the time but my mate had Squats and guard, other mate had marines and another had Orks. Glory days... GW need to make Epic 40k again with the Leagues of Votann present!
