sometimes even if u dont get wtv weird stuff ur oomfie is talking abt but it seems vulnerable and genuine, u gotta give it a support-like. sometimes all the oomfies need is to kno wtv it is theyre being cringe and free abt is fine and that ur happy theyre enjoying themselves. i love my oomfies

I actually had to explain to someone recently that the AI that tells enemies in video games how to react to player inputs is NOT genAI and has existed for literal decades. they genuinely had no idea there was a difference. this shit has poisoned the well so bad.
I hate AI, but I think we should think more critically about blanket-condemning anything that could be ai. Big genAI, which steals copyrighted works, poisons our collective knowledge, and consumes unconscionable amounts of energy is BAD. On-device ai that lets me search my photos for dogs is FINE.
