It's giving the agent the ability to build and run tests that made the difference. I can leave it running in the background trying several things out and self correcting for quite a while - with some prodding it usually ends up with the right answer.

I've had dramatically better results using agentic mode with copilot in visual studio, and at the risk of sounding like another Anthropic astroturfer, I've had best results with Claude Sonnet 4.5. But other models work too...

My cat turned up tonight smelling of chicken and dog. If course, we didn't have chicken and we don't have a dog.

Anyone who has heard her music surely must agree with you that she's way more adventurous and interesting as a musician than her father. It's not even close.

Hi Arsalan, love the podcast. If you branched out to The Beach Boys, I would definitely listen!

Bloody hell!

New album? Not Plastic Beach + The Fall? The new album is ready and they've just played it??

I did "agree with Nick" in one sense that she seemed to continually oversimplify and misrepresent what he was saying. I don't think there was any malice, it's just a complex subject. And one he was explaining badly.

If it was a trick, I'm not sure what it was supposed to achieve. This wasn't like the Prince Andrew interview where she gave him rope. Clegg was annoyed and defensive throughout the 38 minutes I've listened to and is mainly an exercise in frustration. Does she get anything useful from him later on?

I'm generally a fan of Maitlis, but here she seems really out of depth with the nuances of social media and its moderation. I don't forgive him for his irritated lack of answers, but I can certainly understand them. He has a lot to answer for, but clearly understands this stuff far more than her.

To be fair, the checks and balances in the Catholic church seem to be working better than those in the American constitution.

Indeed. And they don't genetically have different hair styles either. I know it's funnier if they stand up with different styling, but it doesn't make any sense. And although I often like it when Star Trek is funny, I prefer it to prioritise making sense.

Also "journalist Allison Pearson". Or should I say "'Journalist' Allison Pearson"?

Also available '"Journalist" Allison Pearson'.

It definitely does. That kind of introspection has its place, but is at risk of taking over from the actual show. It is good that they're trying to push things forwards, but there's a balance that needs to be maintained if it's to stay enjoyable most weeks.

I think the fandom is getting "swing fatigue". Taking risks and pushing stuff forwards is to be admired, but the best thing about S1 was that they were finally just doing Star Trek. A bit more of that would be nice!

I've not seen the ups and downs yet, but watched most of the WTH. Whilst I can't disagree with the points against it, I was honestly shocked at the negative reaction, because despite everything, I enjoyed it quite a lot. One of my favourites of the season!

Hard to tell. I had to look up the episode title on IMDB to be sure that's what you meant to be fair.

Seems this episode is actually more divisive than the holodeck one!

SNW = Strange New Worlds.
WIS = What Is Starfleet - the episode being reviewed.

The idea of Captain America not seeing through Donald Trump is absolutely wild to me.

I thought he was a freak initially, but I've changed my mind. He's alright and is doing some interesting science.

If you're thinking of 2017, it was an extraordinary performance, absolute electricity in the air. I've never seen anything like it.

They did play the Rum Shack in 2016 though.
