I discussed it with my brother and we decided to just accept her wishes. Brought up some interesting discussions with my son about how different cultures deal with death and whether a funeral is important for closure etc. In many ways we were relieved to not 'drag out' the grieving process tbh

In the section for funeral arrangements on my Mums Will she wrote 'No Service, No Mourners, Cardboard Box'. The very prim and old school woman at the funeral directors was visibly shocked and said 'I'm so sorry, but we don't offer a Cardboard one as an option'. I was pissing myself. No fuss my Mum
