I agree. That’s not how democracy works. We don’t automatically get what we want. You don’t get paid just for showing up to work. You have to perform. I’m saying that we have to be willing to compromise…or slowly build what we want especially when others feel differently.

Currently, we’re at an unusual time…where there are crucial issues & concerns. The plate’s overflowing. There are many trans, gays, blacks, veterans, Latinos, Jews, Muslims, disabled, Atheists. Instead of saying “What about me?!?” Let’s try “Here I am & I’d like us to learn from each other. “

The left is supposed to be open & inclusive. That means we don’t get everything we want 100%. In a democracy compromise is essential. Each of us has our own priorities/ideals & we have to respect them. Just because your issues aren’t at the top of someone’s list, doesn’t mean they’re dismissed.
