Bought a little metal poppy. Bloke said it was £3. I paid £6 because I thought it was underpriced.
I lost the poppy.
I bought a new one.
I've now paid £9 for a poppy that costs £3
This is why I am not a millionaire.

I know I am being picky but I get unreasonably annoyed when people in films are able to hit a small target 100 yards away whilst waggling the barrel of a silenced pistol around like a newly caught trout.

If you are a football fan and you start your post with "I didn't watch the game today but..."
Stop right there.

So an intrusive camera and a salacious Internet has now lost 2 people their jobs.
I wanted to qualify this by saying what they were doing was wrong, but I don't know them or their lives.
Stuff like this has nothing to do with us. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

Water bosses will be clapping their hands.
The govt has looked at a broken down car & decided it doesn't run because it's the wrong colour.
What will happen with the replacement of OFWAT is that another establishment stooge will again be fobbed off by a contemptuous industry

Laura Trott starts off by saying that when they were in government the Tories did something that didn't work so now they have had another idea. Don't think that is quite the strong start she thinks it is.

Foreigners wishing to understand the British sense of humour would do well to consider The BBC covering the crash of a fuel tanker and sending reporter Phil McCann.

Well, I’m shocked. It turns out that Labour adding VAT to private school fees did *not* lead to an exodus to the state sector, despite the hysteria of critics. Who would have thought it?? Y’know, other than every normal person in the country. www.theguardian.com/education/20...
No exodus to state sector after VAT added to private school fees, say English councils

I'm furious about the high price of mini eggs this year. Especially seeing as you now get so few in a bag.

How long will it be before the people say 'no more'?

Increasing your Water Bills 44% ABOVE inflation in the next 5 years isn't enough for the Water Companies, they have appealed to Ofwat to let them increase them up to 83% ABOVE inflation.

Like if they can get stuffed.

If you use AI to write something then all it can do is to produce something a little bit more shit than everything else on the Internet.
When the whole Internet is written by AI then there's a natural end point where everything is beige.
