Former youth worker - now working in film & TV

Guildford, Surrey
I might be the only person who has woken up in the town of Diss,

And travelled so I could spend the remainder of the day in Liss.

Hyde Park BST before anyone turns up.

(I needed to turn up of course but that’s beside the point.)

My Dads team when he lived here.

Work took me into Northumbria last week.

Hadrians Wall and everything. I must go back soon.

Sometimes as a jobbing actor I deliver flowers ;

I get the see the reactions that the original senders can only imagine. It’s a joy.

& Here’s a wedding day I was involved in a small way yesterday.

Night shoots all week this week.

Getting enough sleep (& being ready for work) is the key to the door.

London’s Leake Street and its celebrated graffiti -
But I can’t ever walk through here without taking into account I had a grandmother born literally next door to this - over 100 years ago though.

Just thinking maybe the art of the day would have been Kandinsky or Monet’s water lillies.

I had a look at two churches in Brentford yesterday.

The tall spire one, St Paul’s, has a nice coffee shop - it’s where my great-grandfather was baptised.

The other one, St George’s, now converted to residentual by the Thames - is where my great-great-grandparents married in 1865. #ancestry

One of those days yesterday where it’s possible to do two film jobs.

A late call time on one production meant a costume fit for another could be hastily arranged for the morning.

Good morning from the holding area.

A run of days await on a tv streaming production.

Call time 5.45am - it’s good to be early.

Someone has added their own artistic contribution to a set of super tall wand-lights that can be found outside Guildford Odeon Cinema.

I’ve been thinking ever since about how they did it.

Enjoyed having lunch here yesterday - The White Hart next to Stopham Bridge,

A new place to visit but about 20 years ago I ran the nearby youth centre project -

Looking at these pics, maybe all the kids should look like they’re from a Tolkien novel but it gets more up to date down the road.

Fabulous 4 - 0 win for Pompey yesterday,
Swansea also looked good early on going forward.

This sets us up to look forward and get stability outside of the championship bottom 3, and bring in new talent where needed.

The club is on good footing to go places long term.

Looking to a great year here on #Bluesky - Happy 2025 everyone !

So glad that we still talk about Jimmy Carter - his post-presidency lifestyle and longevity is something for the records.

Today we’re saying goodbye to someone who set such a great example for others to follow,
yet we don’t see enough of it in todays media & politics.

God Bless
