Brexit is a PR problem that requires a PR solution. It’s just a matter of convincing the xenophobic majority that the UK is taking its rightful place, to the discomfiture of its near neighbors, completing a hat trick of wins (“our” victory in WW2 and England’s (pre-VAR) 1966 World Cup triumph).

The presidential pardon is a crazy power, whoever is wielding it. It undermines the rule of law, which in turn diminishes the country’s standing in the eyes of the world. And now it is being used for overtly political and personal purposes…
