Your friendly neighborhood geek. 😄 I’m a big Star Wars and Disney fan, but also like collecting trading cards, Transformers, building Gunpla, and photography. Feel free to follow me or say hi. 😄 I also like to draw, as well. :)

One big problem this kit does have is that the pegs that attach the arms to the shoulders are really short, and the arms fit them a bit too loosely for my comfort. I fixed this by added a layer of scotch tape around the pegs.

The main parts that need paint are the thrusters. You need to paint the inside of the thruster pieces red if you want them looking how they do on the box. That’s really only if you’re as OCD about detail work as I am, though. 😂

He’s mostly a pretty great kit, but the shoulder armor gets in the way of some of the arm articulation. The shoulder armor is adjustable, but it doesn’t have enough range to cover the shoulders in certain poses.

The poor articulation on this kit is my biggest (and only real) problem with this kit. In Bandai’s defense, given the design of the Gallus-J, I don’t think there ever was going to be a way to make a kit out of it having a modern range of articulation.

The color separation takes care of a good deal of that, but even then, there are still spots that need paint and stickers. I didn’t even have all of paints needed to paint all of the spots that needed paint.

That looks so badass! 😃 Did you custom paint it?
