UK emigrant. Finally binned British passport to avoid saying: 'No todos somos racistas en reino unido' (we're not all racists in the UK but 52% of voters in 2016 probably were). UK's key challenge? Stop Reform's fascism. Almost vegan.. but cheese 🙄
🤔 Too many stars for wanker but not enough for wriggler

Blair had significant successes at home but being directly responsible for over a million civilian casualties surely puts him right up there with the world's worst leaders, never mind just the UK's worst PM.

The Lords are experts on being nearly dead? Who'd have guessed.

The hard right networks that would fill the BBC's space *have to be* homophobic and transphobic because hate is profitable. The BBC has become a mouthpiece for intolerance but it can and must change. Otherwise we are all defeated.
November 11, 2025 at 2:01 PM
Yes. And when GB News/Fox/Breitbart/Newsmax fill the gap left by the BBC there'll be less bigots?
November 11, 2025 at 11:41 AM
He's only known for one policy. Which has been achieved. Even he now thinks it was a disaster. But the electorate are set to reward that. It makes no sense.
November 11, 2025 at 11:38 AM
Except that the 'media landscape' would then be a whole lot worse. Isn't this like putting Trump in power to help Palestine because 'Kamala is pro-Israel so I'm not voting for her'.
November 11, 2025 at 11:35 AM
Murdoch.
November 11, 2025 at 11:20 AM
BACON. Beeb always chickens out, no?
November 10, 2025 at 7:14 PM
To be fair it's probably the sort of thing the UK can't afford since it voted to make itself poorer.
November 10, 2025 at 7:05 PM
If it dies Murdoch and GB News win.
November 10, 2025 at 4:43 PM
I know. Such a liberal. But I'd reserve that for their second offence.
November 10, 2025 at 2:43 PM
And it could be even worse than that. Would only take some sort of alliance with Yaxley Robinson to see death camps for any Moslems who tried to avoid 'repatriation'. That may not be foreseeable right now but the danger posed by Reform shouldn't be underestimated.
November 10, 2025 at 2:41 PM
The teeth thing shows how pathetic they are. But please never be tempted to play it up in a 'Johnson's hair' sort of a way!
November 10, 2025 at 2:21 PM
They don't want to destroy the BBC just to turn it into GB News. It's also because they see anything not-for-profit as 'communist'. A successful public service broadcaster upsets that ludicrous characterisation, the same way that a thriving multicultural city challenges their destructive narrative.
November 10, 2025 at 12:12 PM
...and if you don't watch them they'll achieve complete destruction. As they did with the UK's membership of the European Union.
November 10, 2025 at 10:10 AM
'Idiotic' is going a bit far isn't it? In the UK parties a look always say they'd refuse to work with others to avoid sounding like they don't expect to win. And anyway unless the polls are very wrong a large part of the electorate is pissed off with Starmer.
November 10, 2025 at 10:04 AM
If it was a public vote you'd have mine
November 9, 2025 at 8:04 PM
To be fair Lammy is a close friend of JD Vance isn't he? Which doesn't make me want to spring to his defence.
November 9, 2025 at 1:14 PM
OHFFS
November 8, 2025 at 4:32 AM
It would be necessary to get the approval of media proprietors before a major political party could propose pursuing EU membership. And that's not likely to be granted. Democracy is a wonderful thing.
November 5, 2025 at 12:22 PM
So either she's planning 98% income tax or the paper of record has got this wrong. We'll soon know!
November 5, 2025 at 11:46 AM
Well the left is of course notoriously factional and I hear a lot of criticism of him, even on Gaza where he's gone further than most. Hope you're right because he's surely Spain's least worst option.
November 5, 2025 at 10:22 AM
Predictably he's not seen so warmly in Spain. Behind in most of the polls, under pressure to resign, and far from loved by the left in general. Which seems to me harsh on probably Europe's best leader.
