To be fair, Arin seems to have a bizarre vendetta against Sonic games in general. During their Adventure playthrough he actively went out of his way to do hard to do glitches and then claimed that they happened on their own more than a few times.

It's a weird mix of thinking there's no modern audience (despite that part of the point of remasters is to MAKE a modern audience), and executives having little care or regard for old games, viewing them purely as just products. To them, people only want new, nothing old.

While it doesn't fully redeem it, the DLCs for 3 at least generally have pretty decent writing, especially in regards to Bounty of Blood.
