I tend to run into a fair amount of cat art, mainly on IG, despite the algorithms being what they now are. I now write down cat artists I like, so I am sure of finding them again. Sometimes I use #catillustration.

You can make your own pen flush with 9:1 distilled water to non-sudsy ammonia with a few drops of dishwashing detergent - most people like Dawn. Much cheaper than buying it. (I've seen vinegar suggested for iron gall inks.)

What a great idea - to photograph the color chart. Just bought some DMC yesterday. I want to embroider moths. Wish I could find my bag of embroidery thread, would add a lot more colors.

Pen, or perhaps converter could be defective? Sometimes I purchase additional converters for pens - even more expensive pens have these issues.

I love writing by hand... and I enjoy reading most cursive handwriting. But, yes, the fountain pen aspect is probably a big part of this - since first using a fountain pen in high school. Enjoyed the article, thank you for sharing it!

I think I still have some Iroshizuku Yu-yake. And maybe some KonPeki. I have Ancient Copper and I like that. I don't have any new inks, but plenty of older ones that I need to use up. Two of my favorites are Robert Oster Tranquility (almost empty...) and R&K Alt Gold Grun.
