That’s just wrong. In >40 years using British toilets I have never once had to unclog one with a plunger. Americans have it all wrong. And let’s not get started on the weird half height partitions in public bathrooms.

If you’re going to do trivial tax fraud, why bother with the charade of filling in the Gift Aid forms? It doesn’t legitimise your actions or make it less likely you’ll be found out. If anything, HMRC is more likely to query your 100 small donations to the same “charity”, using other people’s cards.

It’s not universal if it’s restricted to over-21s. Do you limit it to citizens, or do long term residents qualify? How about Brits living abroad? What about citizens by descent who’ve never set foot in the UK?
