So my FLGS was having a painting contest to celebrate the bew Horus Heresy boxset. I completely blew the deadline but decided to finish the mini anyway. Tried new techniques like using speed paint over metallic, agrellan earth texture paint, and creating a splatter effect with a toothbrush

They did not plan on encountering a hive tendril borne of Hive Fleet Leviathan and Hive Fleet Kraken - the great conjunction! The Sept commanders desperately held on the battle zone to get a signal to their ships in orbit - but the regenerating strength of the hive fleet was too much for them.
