A bookstore that plies the US selling great used books and encouraging serious conversations. https://travelingbookstore.wordpress.com/
Did you know there was a video game about a traveling bookstore? That was today’s surprise for me. Just another wonder when set up at the Overlea farmers market.

So glad over 7 million took to the streets. But obviously we still need more.

Passing on skills to younger generations. Essential for both the skills and the conversations that happen in the process.

Maryland Humanities’ One Maryland One Book has “Kin: Rooted in Hope” as the 2025 selection. Great choice! Has so many people discussing the ideas and history. Get a copy. #mdhumanities #OMOB

Lots happening with the traveling bookstore. Fortunately a Portland friend came to visit. We experienced the Maryland Center for History and Culture, and American Visionary Art museum. Protested with a Wednesday group. Made turmeric anthotypes. Photo of part of that process.

Back in Baltimore after nearly two months, 8,800 miles on the road transversing the US with the traveling bookstore. Quite the experience - encouraged to meet so many readers, see so many demonstrations in small towns and cities, and be welcomed in different communities.

Driving across country with my traveling bookstore, always feel better when pulling into a town where people are speaking up. Thank you to protesters in Red Bluff, California. #speakup #speakout

Hard to know best way to go thru day after reading morning news. So much wrong happening in this country from the jerks at the top. I have a traveling bookstore and talk with people, urge them to get out/speak up. I carry good books, demonstrate, write Congress staff and hope it helps.

Yeah! Saturday February 1 and the sun is out (sort of) and the traveling bookstore is setting up at Dangerously Delicious Pies in Hampden from 11 -6. Could we ask for anything better? Yes - because we'll be selling writing ink made from guns, crafted by the incredible Thomas Little @a.rural.pen.
