Ugh, we have a black walnut at and first she was all welcoming but now, she's become isolationist and withdrawn. I was thinking of planting a companion for her, maybe they would draw her back out.

they are like 25 feet apart but just seem to not like each other. I suspect some pollen bleed over wasn't appreciated. oleander is great, you just have to get used to their inaccurate use of irony.

some are mildly poisonous, which is funny because they are the most smug plants in the yard. Our trees are mostly ambivalent about them but there is a serious rivalry developing between the oleander and some mini roses that were put in by the previous owner.
