I mean it's not weird.. it's just that if they're not there then they'll never be coded for.. nobody is gonna code a game/experience that requires a third party camera passthrough accessory.. we go straight into enthusiast territory. I thought I'd not like MR but tbh, it's an absolute blast..

Yeah.. I mean I really wanted to jump on this headset.. I'm not a Meta fan boy by any means.. but bloody grey LCD black levels... gah, I was soo hoping for OLED tech, a little little more FOV and eye tracking and I'm in. DF touch on the poor contrast levels in their preview.. I'm a bit sad tbh..!

Indeed and this is cool, def.. but.. LCD screens in 2025?! No pass through cameras.. less FOV than the Index.. barely better specs than the oh-so-capable Quest 3 of which when streaming via Virtual Desktop is a marvel.. it’s simply not worth upgrading from a Quest 3..

Facebook are never breathing down your neck (unless you want them to) and the eco system?! lol.. plus it’s a Snapdragon in there?! Not sure where you’re going with this.. LCD and base FOV equals 2 year old tech that’ll be wildly out of date in a few months (when it’s released..)

But even so, just go buy a Quest 3?! Probably for way less money, essentially the same specs (eye tracking is nice tho…) you don’t need to dedicate a room to Quest btw. And I use mine lately pretty much exclusively for playing Arc Raiders… 👊👊👊!! Streamed via Virtual Desktop..

Why's everyone so stoked for what is basically the same res as Quest 3, same FOV (TBC) thereabouts, no AR... and bloody LCD screens?!!!!!!! .... Quest 3 is 2 years old now lol..

Gah you didn't actually just announce the long awaited 'Deckard' headset with LCD visuals and 110 FOV (and no AR at all, which is a LOT of fun..)?! Bah..... been waiting sooooooooo long for you Valve, so so long..... (since buying the ((brilliant) Index actually....) 😠

It's really way more than a novelty though... you just can't beat some of the immersion and interaction offered in VR. It's def here to stay and I'm glad about that..
