I was born a poor math child. I got bigger. I also make some music on the side.
I have low opinion of billionaires. Here’s how much money a billion dollars is. There are 525,600 minutes in a non-leap year. To give away a billion dollars (not earning interest) in a year, you’d have to spend $1,902.59 every minute of every day. And yet, most billionaires want to be richer?

Can you imagine how any other US Presidents’ supporters would respond to their person posting AI-generated pictures of themselves as the Pope or with vein-popping arms? And in MAGA-world, it’s all “Hell, yeah!!!”? I don’t get it, but maybe that’s a blessing. Seems very cultish.

When the President, any President, refuses to obey the laws and the judges and officials trying to enforce those laws, then I don’t know what we have, but it’s not a democracy. Sure, we can still vote, but why? Get a law passed, so what? The President just says “No”. We had a good run, I guess.

So, we’re going up, then? I’m starting to think that the promise to bring prices down (very quickly, it’s not that hard) was an empty one.

I know this much to be true: when you fire experienced people who understand their job and either push their duties onto someone else or hire someone less experienced and possibly less qualified, mistakes happen. When you’re talking about the FBI and the FAA, mistakes can be catastrophic.

If anyone is interested, the map app HERE WeGo still correctly shows the Gulf as the Gulf of Mexico. It seems to have the same functionality as maps owned by bootlickers.

There is some serious irony that a guy that spent millions of taxpayer dollars traveling to resorts to golf in his first term has the world’s richest man looking for government waste. Meanwhile, how about an executive order for making chickens lay more eggs? Make Mexico pay for it?

Another prime example of “trees voting for the ax”. 45’s tariffs did a number on the bourbon industry in 2018, and 47’s tariffs are set the do the same plus more. That’s lost revenue (and taxes) in KY, where 64.5% of voters said “but the handle’s made of wood”. How does this help grocery prices?

So the new old guy is going to “end indoctrination” in K-12 schools. Having taught in the public schools a bit, I can tell you that teachers are too busy grading and prepping to be indoctrinating. If they really could brainwash kids, they’d make them do their homework, bathe, and wear deodorant.

I thought that egg prices were supposed to go down, very quickly - within the first week of the new old guy being President. They have instead gone up $0.54 per dozen. Source: tradingeconomics.com/commodity/eg...

I have to wonder how pro-47 Evangelicals are feeling right now. He didn’t put his hand on the Bible when sworn in and looked absolutely miserable sitting in church, even before getting chastised by the Bishop. I guess if you can rationalize an excuse for a Nazi salute, then the rest is easy?

It’s hard to believe that the GOP, once considered the “law-and-order” party, has elected a convicted felon who immediately upon inauguration frees 1,500 other criminals, and the party rejoices. I guess FOX News says that’s okay, though, so . . .

As the new old guy enters office today, I know that people who voted for him are full of optimism. My prediction is that he will do little to nothing to help them. He accomplished his goal by getting his charges dropped. Time to golf at the taxpayers’ expense for the next four years.

You know that you’re having a good day when your lunch is ice cream from Meltdown.

So, I understand that we’re getting ready to go to war, if necessary, with Greenland/Denmark/NATO for reasons. But what’s the plan to lower grocery prices again?

It really seems odd to me that we haven’t seen hide nor hair of J. D. Vance since the election. The guy is going to one 78-year-old’s heartbeat away from being President - seems like he ought to be a little closer to the action.

Never too old to learn how the world works. I guess it’s time to claim my neighbors house as a new “room” on my house and change the name of my cul de sac.
