And yet Garfield and his guys STILL managed to win that battle. Today’s Dems would have folded instantly.

And what did Garfield, his cabinet and even former-crony Chester A. Arthur (after Garfield's death) do with their newfound power?

They instantly burned the so-called "spoils system" of corruption and cronyism to the fucking ground with a raft of civil service reforms.

What's the difference between these 1880s progressives and our current-day Dems? Quite simply, it's that those Victorian-era politicians actually seemed to have both morals and spines.

How’s this game based on a western film starring a super famous western musician never get released in the west?

Alan Wake in particular may as well be Twin Peaks the game. It’s one of my favorites.

No surprise the one Zelda story you like is the one inspired by a David Lynch TV show. Of course it has the best story, it has the best inspiration!

Did a bit more digging and I guess the "value" here is the ability to view live park wait times from anywhere? Not really seeing why anybody would want that either, except maybe folks with APs who live nearby the park and can go on a whim when they see low wait times?

Who on Earth would want a clone of the current Disney hotel TV screen? Does anybody care about it?

I feel like the thing people actually want is just a collection of nice looking rips of the "info channel" loops from the 80s / 90s / early 00s.

It's a terrible 00s sex comedy from him and Trevor Moore. It's basically an extended Whitest Kids U Know sketch but nowhere near as funny as most of those are. Some execs just saw WKUK's success, threw some money at them and gave them little support in making their first every film...

That's right. He's 2/2. Pay no attention to that little film called "Miss March" hiding in the corner of his filmography. LOL

You speak for me. I don’t play Zelda games for their stories. They are kinda basic which is fine since they get the job done. But I’m there for the gameplay.

I don’t understand why anybody is obsessed with the franchise timeline, especially since Nintendo clearly isn’t.

I’m really stoked on the film. Cregger’s two horror flicks were both fantastic and he’s a legit fan of the games AND he’s never even seen the prior films. This is a recipe for success.

It upsets me a bit that the Dems here let so many GOP candidates run uncontested. They probably could have taken those seats too if they'd simply run somebody for them.

Make no mistake, Onondaga County, home to Syracuse, is a purple county. Like most of Upstate New York, the city itself votes blue but the rural areas are pretty decently red - enough for (typically more centrist) Republicans to hold power.

If that's the case, then somebody ask Mike why my County Legislature here in Upstate New York flipped to Dem control for the first time in almost 50 years.

Progressive candidates, including one only endorsed by NY's Working Families party, won every contested seat.
