Work with John Stewart to turn this into legislation.... ?

A bit part of this problem is the perception of health "insurance". It isn't only insurance. It's also a subscription for services you use. The merging of these concepts has really blurred a lot of lines and confuses the public.

Why do you think Dems are resistant?

On a large swath of issues it does seem like Dems have audience or opinion capture, but I've always thought that was mostly the pundits, not the politicians.

I think I likely agree, this feels a lot like student loans. Well intentioned but over time they ruin markets.

I wish I could filter out all the off topic sludge from the comments to your posts. Let them yell into the void and the adults can carry on discussions. Bluesky is becoming X.

They pay more taxes than any other group. The top 1% pays about 37% of the tax revenue.

Decreasing costs (as mark suggests) will likely have a larger positive impact.

For many of us, it absolutely was not.

This class warfar nonsense is so cringe. Trump may have made a bunch of things now true about it, but in general, our problems are our political division not wealth related.

29 is a historic all time low. I think the median or average is 35?

People in their 20s are almost never buying houses, and people in their 30s are entering in more affordable options historically.

The amount of economic cost in doing this would be astounding. Not just during the brown out but the eventual cost of them having to go out of the country to get stability in operations.

I don't like a flat amount, I think there should be a flat rate we all pay to help subsidize. Then, based on income you pay less or full. With the percentage being spread across all income levels appropriately. The wealthiest may see no reduction.

Beep boop.

Your lack of engagement in the idea comes across as defensive rather than productive.

The reality is probably a lot closer to we need both, appropriate to infrastructure and many other conditions. One of those conditions is cost.

Maybe the Epstein list is actually credible..... I've always been skeptical it sounds like a conspiracy theory. Would explain the bended knees a lot better.

Sadly, a lot of people deactivated in the last election, if turnout was better it would likely have gone differently.

So you aren't powerless. Talk more about politics when touching grass and encourage people to vote. It's the simple things en mass that matter.

Spend more time on planes, you're my main Bluesky content source!

To be fair, his position is better than being willing to pay more. He wants a more balanced and fair system overall. Which we should all want, across the board, including for the wealthy. Right wealth inequality needs curtailing on one side, but we should let our principles be fluid to circumstance.

This comment is gross.

Tearing down part of the white house illegally, I believe.

The compensation that makes billionaires is almost always in stock, not salary.

Salary also gets taxed as income, so it gets redistributed. You want higher salaries and a better distribution of ownership.
October 24, 2025 at 9:09 AM
Then you probably should never decry "billionaires" because it's never wages that makes someone a billionaire.

Wish you had a linked article, would make it easier to understand the context. Is this for gerrymandering?

The intentionally fostered community and sense of community has almost brought me back, despite having zero interest in the doctrine.
