I like Fritz Lang too - discovered him when my grandmother gave m e an 8mm version of Metropolis and I love all these films but I only saw Human Desire recently and, it's not a great film, it is a Lang "critical edition" --

the irony is Mr. Paley brought Larry Tisch on board to keep Ted Turner out - tisch (the billionaire dwarf - he was tiny) began greasing the skids early on, and we knew Redstone was a scumbag, so this is absolutely crushing but hardly unanticipated
