Gen X here. I think that all genX and later generations should be forced to sign a pledge that we are going to retire from public office no later than 75 years old. There is no way I should be making decisions that younger generations are going to have to live with long after I’m dead.

The amount of my life spent doing physio exercises just so I can move in the morning is shocking.

Thank god I am not in a position where I have to try to get people to like me on social media.

There has never been a group more stingy with bandaids than Boomer moms. The number of times I heard “You don’t need a bandaid. Just let it breathe”

How is it that the Liberal party is the only national federal party who has never had a woman at the helm? Not even an interim leader. We can hold senior cabinet positions. That makes the man in the leadership look good. But don’t expect the party faithful to allow a woman to lead.

Remember the lady in the Chewbacca mask laughing hysterically at herself in her car? I hope she’s doing okay

At what age do men start walking around with their hands clasped behind their back?

The way my dog gives me the side-eye because I won’t walk him in this heat. It’s like living with a teenager

I got knocked on my ass by my dogs so they could fight two dogs we met on our walk and my son told us that he’s been ripped off to the tune of 11 grand and now can’t make his rent. I’m going back to bed. Let’s just start over tomorrow.

I am happy that people are getting so much joy from Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson. It’s good that something positive is drowning out a bit of the negativity. And the people who are so shocked that anyone over the age of 50 would find a partner send me!

Wait, was my family the only one who talked about “the poobird” ? You know- the poobird is gonna come poop on your bottom lip if you don’t stop pouting!?! Anyone? No just us then?

With love: If you think you are entitled to a “man cave” you should have to go live in an actual cave.

Shingles. In July. I don’t know what is more painful, the blisters or the fact that I have an old person’s virus.

Trying to keep my 55lb puppy out of my 5 lb foster puppies’ pen is like trying to hold back the tides.

There are no lower depths of hell than to be at the mercy of #aircanada Record revenues while having the worst on-time percentage in North America. Quite an achievement.

I’m ready for summer to be over already. Sick of shaving my legs.

I love my American friends and family but I really wish my daughter was going to grad school anywhere other than the US right now.

I think the secret service should dress like the Swiss Guards. #conclave

Third week of puppy kindergarten and I think Marvin is a solid B- student. And we are solid C parents. A big improvement from dropping out like we did with Vanessa when we went with her. We’re nailing it.

Okay now that our election is over I’ll be happy to go back to having zero eyes on us. #canpolitics

I voted and after yet another comment from that orange, slack-jawed, baby-fisted buffoon, I am happy with my choice. I hope enough of my fellow Canadian voters feel the same. #elbowsup

In the ‘70’s, my mom lost her job when she came to work wearing an engagement ring. Her boss said she would have to go raise babies and therefore needed to be replaced. It may seem like several lifetimes ago but it isn’t. Beware of people with influence trying to convince women to have more babies.

To the man working the early polls who gave me a brief history of the Travelling Wilburys- Thank you for your service. You were a delight!

These are some of the precautions my daughter has been advised to take to protect herself from the US gov’t as a Canadian student at a US college: always have her passport and papers when on campus, avoid protests, don’t post political content on social media or texts. Land of the free indeed.
