I’ve never created a trending group, but from what I’ve learned it’s clunky and not an organic feature of the program. Threads and Twitter (X) are much better for that. But if terms are getting used a lot on BlueSky, you can search and find what’s being said, then filter by “Latest.”

Loved the Lisa Rubin segment. She is such a welcome oasis of clear thinking that it helps to wash away the mud of the current level of reporting and discourse. I wish she could help congress craft questions and follow-ups, which are too often shallow and weak.

Put no kings in the search field and you’ll find lots of posts about it. BlueSky is a lousy place to find trending stories, but that’s one way to do it.

So glad to have you back and to have @weissmann.substack.com in NY again The A-team is back in town! Thank you for a powerful show.

Another excellent show, Lawrence. Appreciate the heads-up about your time off so we can begin our preparations for being Lawrence-less for a while. Have a great vacation and see you in September.

This was fascinating, Lawrence. A more recent piece from the Times with updated information is attached (gift article). Please consider another segment on this topic.

Thank you, Rep. Frost. You’re our eyes and ears right now and I’m grateful. Great segment on @maddow.msnbc.com.

I can do without the naughty-little-boy cringiness that @justinwolfers.bsky.social seems to find amusing, since he repeats it everywhere he goes these days. Stop, Justin. Stop, Charlie. This one goes in the podcast scrap heap without a listen.

The way you arrange and deliver information is like no other, @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com. We’re so fortunate to have your voice, especially now in our shared hellscape. Another great show. Thank you.

Thank you for the gift link, but unfortunately @washingtonpost.com is allowing me to read only a few paragraphs before bouncing me to a solicitation to subscribe. It doesn’t let me get back to the article.
I used to be a subscriber so maybe that’s why. Never again while Bezos is in charge.

@npr.org lists the NWS notifications and then documents how those notifications were broadcast to people. It seems to have been mostly through Facebook and Twitter, which is shocking if true.

Great show & final segment. When I tune in and find no @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com, I always have a heart-sink moment, but this time I thought, Oh! It’s Jason Johnson! The Pac-Man segment made me smile. Thank you.

Me too, and that’s too rare these days. Thank you, @drjasonjohnson.bsky.social!

I agree, @msnbc.com. More Michelle Norris, please! She has such a calm but strong intelligence and depth that few others possess, and a huge bonus is that she has a beautifully modulated voice, suitable for broadcasting. Even rarer these days. What a pleasure to have her on the air.

The two factors were 1) anocracy (a weakened democracy with elements of autocracy), and 2) when citizens organize politically around identity (race or religion, for instance) rather than ideology. Sounds all too familiar. Riveting segment.
