I’d like to see trams, but I do see them more as a luxury than a necessity. And they should only be built in already dense areas, not as rapid transit lines like the east-end idea. A tram line running parallel to the orange and green line downtown would be nice. Would be a hard political sell tho

I’ve seen more progress in Laval in the past 4 years since moving than in St. Leonard where I grew up.

A first tramway in a car suburb doesn’t make sense. If we want tramways, start downtown or in a former streetcar suburb. A REM de l’est would be a cheap and fast way to then have the political will to install a tramway. Not now when most people drive and don’t have access to good rapid transit.
