I greatly prefer speaking with European socialist/communist as they have a firmer understanding of the literature and ideology than many Americans because of our cultural divergence from Europe. This has actually been a very enjoyable experience and conversation for me. Thanks

I agree. I am not hard on Marx and Engels because they are products of their time as is many of humanities great works. I am just critical as the exchange of communist ideology is often wrongly portrayed because of a way of thinking modern society sometimes struggles to understand.

I read everything else you said and I agree. My main issue is just with his pre civil rights ideals. Which are not his fault. As modern communist/socialist we must be critical though and prevent the transfer of false "facts" and unrealistic or romanticized versions... Cont.

Hmmm. Eurocentrism, and his references to the "barbarians". References to the natural based nature of humans in regards to sex and gender.
I do understand Marx and Engels were actually more forward thinking than Europe at the time, but in a modern society we must still be critical.

I do agree that communism and socialism are the best ways to govern in a nation that is advanced enough and wealthy enough to adhere to such.

I have issues with Marx because of the decision to add in many racists, sexist, and anti-LGBTQ ideals into his doctrine. I do understand it was a product of its time and that is the academic thought of Europe at the time. So I am not as hard on him.

You can mansplain by speaking with an air of superiority which is how it comes off sometimes when someone's English is more proper or less broken like native speakers. From now on I will try to be proper.

That is true... Why do you think he invaded Ukraine? Every old member of the USSR immediately sent foreign aid to Ukraine to defend it from Putin's advance. And Trump is literally in his pocket. Defending a tyrant like Stalin is a bad thing.

I'm a history and political student. I know what they are referring too. I'm not referring to socialism. I am referring to authoritarianism. Which is what the USSR was. I would barely consider the USSR to be communist or Socialist due to their own form of fasicio-oligarchy mixed into it.
