I had never wanted to be closer to him even prior to the incident. He had been aggressive and abrasive for decades.
But for him to want ME to bridge the gap between us, AFTER this incident where, I repeat, I COULD HAVE DIED.
I guess I want validation in saying "no, not now or ever", after this.
