I suspect the very low "no" response from MAGA is also partially because they are the ones being cut off from friends and family and are answering no in objection to being cut off. Their answer is essentially, "my ex wife and kids should still talk to me even if I voted for Trump"

I thought we learned resigning in protest does nothing. Make them fire you. I'm not sure that will do anything either but resigning has proven to be ineffective at best and maybe even aiding the opposition at worst.
