You are worthless and nobody loves you

And I get the point is for it to be challenging as hell, and I appreciate that, but if I want to be challenged to a frustrating degree, I'll play Spelunky. The difficulty is frustrating but it's paced fast enough for me to still be drawn in.

It's entirely a skill issue on my part, but I just hate the convolutedness of the crafting, gathering things doesn't feel satisfying for me, and it's so borishly frustrating to stand around all night beside a campfire, occasionally throwing a stick in the fire to keep it going.
