I love going back to the Rivers of London books by @benaaronovitch.bsky.social as my comfort reads. I think it’s the escapism of an urban fantasy that lets your imagination fly, making familiar locations feel magical.

Pratchett is a great choice too, he was so wonderfully creative.

Very much agree with this. Despite how much I love the convenience of my e-reader, especially out of the house, I can almost “feel” the gaps in my bookshelves. Sometimes I just want to curl up with the actual book for a cosy Sunday morning read and mug of tea.

Miss these too, it was fun to sit and flip through detail for the world. I think for me art books have sort of replaced this and the sole reason I buy “collectors editions” - when not crazy expensive anyway.
