Kill La Kill is another example of how to do gratuitous sex appeal creatively and convincingly. It's full of skimpy fetishy designs, and those outfits are directly part of the lore. There's an entire paramilitary organization called Nudist Beach who doesn't wear clothes *for good reason*!

Not to mention Bayonetta's sexiness is actually a part of her personality. I've never seen anything from Stellar Blade to suggest Eve's sexiness is anything but a veneer slapped on by and for outside observers, all superficial, no substance

It just looks cheap and soulless, and the character looks incongruous with the setting.
Contrast that with, say, Bayonetta, another video game woman overtly flaunting her sex appeal, but who also fits in with her own setting

BUT, with that said, I've always found the glossy plastic anime girl aesthetic to look like an asset flipped H game. Just search Stellar Blade on Twitter and you'll see dozens of photo mode screenshots straight out of the game that look indistinguishable from dime-a-dozen CG porn renders
