Really - a game changer - when families are still struggling with high energy bills because of government policy. I can’t imagine what was said about the Scottish Child Payment if this sticking plaster announcement is a game-changer.

So, you have no credible source at all for your comment - just the BBC helping Farage (again!) by managing down expectations so that a good third looks great and coming second is a historic event! I prefer John Curtice’s fact-based analysis, but, each to their own.

To understand how open Miliband is to manipulation just look back at the disastrous Feed in Tariff. He was worked by consultants who persuaded him of a one-off rate covering the whole UK, inflation-proofed for 25 years. 1/2
