At last it is done.
I made an #MESBG Elves army (Eregion) 15 - 20 years ago after which I had a hiatus from the game until 2024. I got another set of Last Alliance sculpted by Davale and have finished #minipainting them up, now having around 2000 pts and 120 models.
Quite happy with it.

Finished all the basecoats on these guys today, took 5 hours or so of the evening but tomorrow should be able to wash them, finish details, and base them and the other 7 I did last week. Then I have 4 Numenorean captains to finish my #MESBG backlog. The end is in sight! Only 10 months later.

Got back on the painting horse this afternoon, did the gold layer of my #mesbg Elves new batch and colour corrected my previous batch of Davale Elves to match my existing GW model army (latter painted 20 years ago). Was dreading correcting for a while but didn't take long in the end!

Magnetised all my MESBG minis just now, was very fast - around 200 minis in 3 hours using milliput and 5x2mm Nb magnets. Densely packed into 3 A4 trays, but will dispense into others for taking armies to games. #mesbg

Have set up a plan to finish most of my pile of shame and could be done in Aug/Sept. This week was my first since the holiday, fully painted 12 Isengard to flesh out gaps in all my lists - Grima, scout command, berserkers and crossbows. Should be good on this army now. #mesbg #minipainting

In a break from the usual wargaming and ttrpg content, Southern Thailand really is a beautiful and Koh Lipe is its crown jewel. The insects hate me though.

Finished up the campaign on Wednesday - finale battle went well, the party saved the captured mages and stopped the blizzard. Will see what the next steps are after ai come back from Thailand. #dnd

Finishing up my 5.5E campaign (or just this arc, tbd) tomorrow with the BBEG models finished up today. Lord Kelvin is using a frost artifact to radiate frost and cause a blizzard and the local spiders have succumbed partially, becoming frost/bone themed. #dnd #miniaturepainting

Built, primed and painted Morbin Vahl this evening for a game tomorrow of 1500 pts. I didn't have a base so I made a proxy out of cork. Pretty happy it doesn't look terrible for 4 hours start to finish. #adeptasororitas #w40k #miniaturepainting

Had the last game of season 1 of my league yesterday, I was 1 point behind the leader and playing him - very tense game that I thought was for sure won (I trapped Haldir on turn 2 with 6 Uruks) but ended in a draw. Very fun game, anything can happen. #mesbg

Enjoyed painting these familiars colour coded for their PCs, there are some really cool ones and some great themes. The PCs were painted by their players so was just following their lead. #dnd #ttrpg #minipainting

Fantastic 1k game Sisters vs Nids, Bringers of Flame vs Synapse. I didn't know the rules going in so my opponent was teaching me and giving a lot of help, but still surprised to win 64 - 62. Very close ending on the last mission. I might be getting into 40K! #wk40k #adeptasororitas

Playing my first game of 40K in several years today. Prepping over the weekend by magnetising and sorting transport motivated me to prioritise my remaining Sisters and do the boring and hard parts (building / basing / priming, for me). Half a combat patrol left to prep. #adeptasororitas #w40k

Magnetised my Sisters today to take them up on public transport for a 1k pt game on Monday. First time magnetising and will be first 40k game in many years. Gave me motivation to finally get back to Sisters to build my remaining 500 pts to get to 2k. #W40K

Finally finished the squad, so a quarter of the Last Alliance down. These are the critical models to add to my existing forces as game pieces, but the rest of the army are high on my priority list for display more than anything. #mesbg #minipainting

WIP can see the finish line, these have taken a very long time compared to my usual because I've gone through wash / highlight for each colour. The cloaks which have improved a lot today. Next is bases and faces, banner and the captain detailing. #minipainting #mesbg

This weekend completed highlights of the gold and blue, did faces, gloves and boots, and washed the cloaks down to medium grey. Think I'm almost there - just weapon highlights and light cloak drybrushing, the medals, banner and bases to do. Could be another evening or two. #mesbg #minipainting
