I was the top fundraiser in #motionball Kelowna yesterday. But I didn’t expect to be named Captain of the year, and certainly didn’t plan to make 400 people cry as I spoke about our efforts, my sister Sarah, and how the campaign evolved when dad passed away last month. I just learned that the Squamish Rotary Club were so inspired by my posts and stories on LinkedIn that they UNANIMOUSLY voted to host a #motionball for #SpecialOlympics Marathon of Sports event in their community! I’m so excited for the athletes and leaders in Squamish!

Wow wow wow! Not only did SingleKey donated corporately, but Elena Chau donated also. Elena and I recently shared about personal traumas during a lunch meeting (tears were shed). I also introduced her to #SpecialOlympics. 💙 It’s so meaningful to see her and SingleKey support. 🥳

Cory came back from holiday, and wrote a big cheque! I rely on Reliance for my strata depreciation reports. I’m glad #SpecialOympics and rely on them for ongoing support, to enable access to sport for kids with #diversabilities as young as 2 years old.

This is my sister Sarah when she was 1. Now 27, she still likes to make raspberries & make me laugh. But her DS is a visible disability, so she is underestimated and discriminated. It pains me when people use the R-word. There is #NoGoodWay to use that word in everyday conversation!
