oh well, if I find myself wanting to read a book by a problematic author I just pirate it lol. Especially since I am someone who would read almost any genre, there's bound to be good books by bad people.

the issue is purchasing and promoting. not reading her books. me personally, I find it uncomfortable to read books by people who are pro-genocide and other horrible stuff. (not just SJM)

I used to be a big fan of her work when I was a teen but looking back, her descriptions of POC and there are pro colonial themes. if you search it up it I'm sure there are others who have explained it better than I have 💞
