Floridian here. It sucks - hot, crowded, unsafe. We vacationed in Victoria and Langford BC this summer and were treated so beautifully. Fellow Americans asked me "did you face discrimination in Canada?" I laughed and said no! Every Canadian I talked to was interested and concerned.
