They just don't think it matters. It isn't going to affect the title race so they can just make a non-decision and it won't get any attention. I honestly think they think that these are low/non jeopardy games that they can just half arse.

£150m was the "not for sale" price. The sale price will be lower than that, I'm afraid.

Your middle paragraph is true, and I was saying the same thing when it first came out that he wanted to leave.

Since then tho he's absolutely to blame. Refused to attend the summer tour and is now refusing to train with his teammates, and play for the team? He can fuck all the way off for that.
August 10, 2025 at 1:11 PM
I think it's just the way the world is now. Polarised with loads of gatekeeper bellends deciding who gets to be on their team, and whether you're doing or saying things right. I've just fucked it all off otherwise your spend your day chewed by arguments you don't need or want to be in.

Let's see how he feels by Christmas. With the "quality" of Amorim's coaching, I back him to look like yet another very expensive Man United failure. This bloke made Ten Hag's team look even worse than Ten Hag ffs.
August 10, 2025 at 12:26 PM
Exactly aye, just a waiting game now. This transfer window has been desperate. Ramos next maybe if this one falls over. No doubt Chelsea will suddenly discover a long held interest in the player.
August 5, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Reread your post and realise that I've basically just repeated what you said, sorry. 😂
August 5, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Nice for Man United that they "internally feel they have the player's preference" but until he opens his gob and says something, this is just Romano once again being a big club's mouthpiece for a living. #nufc

We're picking up kids, but we also need CL ready talent, and CL ready talent tends to be the common knowledge players that are already doing it at that level.

We've just been unlucky - our stage of development and coming up against a "bigger" opponent every single time, have conspired against us.
August 5, 2025 at 1:18 PM
It's accepted wisdom by a Man Utd friendly media that *of course* he prefers them. That's different to common knowledge, or even the truth. We can't not put ourselves in a position to be rejected. We're a CL team, the players that are good enough to play in the CL that no one else wants don't exist.

It's nothing to do with naivety. What is your less naive solution to bidding for these players that has a different outcome?
August 5, 2025 at 12:51 PM
I think if we don't get this lad then we'll just be pulling the shutters down on Liverpool's bids.
August 3, 2025 at 5:50 AM
It's not Football Manager where it happens with two clicks of a mouse. We need to agree a deal with the club and the player needs to make a massive decision about his future. It's gonna take a few days.
August 3, 2025 at 5:35 AM
Fantasy land nonsense. Liverpool might well end up with Isak if they stop taking the piss with their bids, but this theory that it's been agreed and Liverpool are working us like a puppet to buy a replacement is pure drivel.
August 3, 2025 at 5:33 AM
We're missing the sell-on clause, I think.
August 2, 2025 at 8:08 PM
As soon as we're walking around with £120m in our pocket, every club we try to buy from is jacking up prices. That's why you don't sell until you've got his replacement.
August 1, 2025 at 2:10 PM
No we shouldn't, he's worth more than that. Given our current position in this transfer window, it needs to be a very uncomfortable amount of money for Liverpool for us to let them have our best player.
August 1, 2025 at 2:09 PM
It's outrageous. Leaving the country to train with another club!? I mean we might all find this has been sanctioned, but I doubt it.

I hope we can get the replacements in so we can get rid now tbh. I get all the stuff about thinking he was getting a new deal etc, bad craic, but I'm done with him.
July 31, 2025 at 10:01 AM
I think we've all discovered that the lad is a prick.
July 31, 2025 at 9:57 AM
Nice one, well done. 👍
July 28, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Aye but I think that was before he fully split from the squad and didn't travel to Singapore.

I'd be amazed if he's even still in Newcastle, never mind training.
July 28, 2025 at 7:15 PM
He says, whilst talking about the Al Hilal links. 🤔
July 20, 2025 at 6:24 AM
Exactly. Also why would he "green light" talks with Al Hilal but not do the same with Liverpool. It's been a shit week with the Liverpool stuff and Howe's comments yesterday, but we could help ourselves as fans by immediately seeing this Al Hilal stuff for what it is and giving it zero oxygen.
July 20, 2025 at 6:23 AM
Those Al Hilal links are complete horseshit. Every "news outlet" I can find reporting it, it's the first time I've ever heard of that news outlet.

Do you listen to the Chart Music podcast by any chance? Sounds like it might be up your street.
