Tonight, we are hosting Beer & Carols at Harry’s Hotel in Aberystwyth. Come for a drink to lubricate your voice, as we sing carols and wassails (Christmas drinking songs) with a live folk band. It's always a lot of fun! Starts at 7:30pm.

This Sunday, 7th December, St Paul’s Methodist Church Aberystwyth will be in Harry’s Hotel in Aberystwyth for Beer and Carols. You are warmly invited to join us. Starts at 7:30 and we will be singing carols. We usually have a break midway and expect to finish around 9pm.

Photos from today’s service. This is the first Sunday in Advent, where we start a period of waiting and reflection before we celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas. We lit the first candle of our Advent wreath, and displayed banners, for Advent, Christmas the link between Christmas and Easter.

It’s the town Christmas fair today 🎉 🎄we are on one of the stalls. We will be making Christingles and hot chocolate with squirty cream and marshmallows. The market runs from 12:00 - 7:00pm and the lights are usually switched on at around 6:00pm. We look forwarding to seeing you there.

This Sunday (5th Jan) we hold our Covenant Service. This is a special service in the life of the Methodist Church, where we celebrate God’s gracious offer that He lives us unconditionally. The service is open to everyone.

Today is the first Sunday in Advent, marking the period of waiting for the celebration of the birth of Christ.

We have an advent wreath (not in these pictures) as well as an advent wall hanging. The wall hanging develops over the next four weeks as candles are added.

Be a Secret Santa is run by @actionforchildren.bsky.social. This year, all gifts made by 3rd December (this Tuesday) will be doubled by Nationwide (up to total of £100,000). Action for Children is the children’s charity of the Methodist Church.

Excellent evening for the town, with lantern parade, choir, carols and turning on the #Aberystwyth Christmas tree lights. We served lots of free hot chocolate during the day and made Christingles - it was lovely to see everyone.
