I want to add how synonymous that "Roman" salute is with Nazis. Below is a picture of US school children doing the Bellamy Salute based on military salutes of similar origin, used during the pledge of allegiance through late 1800's - early 1900's

Number 12 is my all time favorite Doctor. Capaldi played him so perfectly. He has the classic Who feel with the New Who energy. His stories were fantastically written and helped usher in a new era of Doctor Who as the Doctor started to heal.

Huge fan of Frank Herbert's Dune and the rest of the series. The book was a fundamental read for me and the character of Paul was center at that. I can trace my love for the sociology component of history to how Paul evolves over the novel.

I was going to put Qui-Gon Jinn first, but I have been on a Transformers kick lately. He is one of the best characters there is. He reminds me of a Bones from Star Trek and Hawkeye Pierce from MASH. Love his sarcastic but loyal heart!
