We started this sister venture to Storymix Studio because we couldn’t sell The Other Father Christmas into traditional publishing.

We knew this story mattered. And now, thanks to you, we’re proving it.

Storymix Books is a brand new micro publisher. That means every pre-order is a building block.

More books printed. Better offers for indie shops. Wider reach for stories that need to be told.

This isn’t just about one book.

It’s about changing the narrative when it comes to books that centre the under represented. We keep hearing the pipeline is broken.

Let’s fix it or at least show what fixing it can look like

What we’re aiming for now:

🎄 £3,000 = jacketed hardbacks (Mikey & Gramps deserve their gladrags)
🎧 Specific Audio Pot = the audiobook & soundtrack
🍽️ £6,000 = global Christmas recipe book
🎄£12,000 = magical Santa’s Grotto, inspired by the story

When a campaign hits its goal early, it shows momentum.

That’s powerful.

But what happens next matters even more. We’ve got 14 days to grow this and show what we can do with real backing from real readers.

It would be all kinds of awesome and we could have gingerbread house making contests as one of the zones - like we have in the book. Gorgeous illustration by Shahab Shamshirsaz - it is one of my faves!

I'm hopeful we might hit our target today which means the hardback print run will definitely happen but I think we can do more and that way get the audiobook made as well - maybe even run a Santa's grotto...
