I am a Programming Writer. I've been a programmer and a writer for multiple decades. Computers have been both my work and play for so long I can't imagine life without one. Guess I'm a nerd at heart.
My husband and I have a (big expensive hunk of garbage) Sleep Number bed. The bladder on my husband's side has sprung a leak and the only way to keep it inflated is to constantly run a python application that reinflates the bed every 20 minutes.

Toilet paper?

We used to be regulars at our local library's book sale. We used to bring home boxes full of books. Then one year, my husband and I were both sick and didn't go. They called to see if we were all right.

Gorgeous! I wish I had one.

They're putting up a building across the street from my home and the backup alarm on the trucks sounds like an alarm clock going off. It nearly always wakes me up at 7:30 instead of 8:00. Considering that I usually don't go to sleep until 1:00 AM or later, this is not a fun thing.

Funny, when I here "Skeleton Crew" I think of the Stephen King short story collection.

My feelings here are just the opposite. In other words, for Biden and against Trump.

Sorry, but I probably fit into this equation as the parent. I've always been the "fixer." First I fixed my parents' computer and taught them how to use it to set type for their print shop, then , then I fixed my husband's computer and now I fix my kids' and grandkids' computers.

Hope you had a great time on Thanksgiving. I would love to see Jeff and Carol again.

Maybe you edited some of my stuff. I did a huge round up review on Visual Basic controls back in the day but I'm not sure if it was for Visual Developer or Turbo Techniques.

Interesting. I used to write for the same magazine as David Gerrold, we were both contributing editors for PC Techniques.

My first hard drive was able to store 20 Mb but last year I got a six Tb drive for about $40. It's amazing because the 20mMb drive cost me several hundred dollars back in the early 80s.

Hmmm, I have one of those too! It's kind of nerdy to be able to say you have a pet computer, no?

Sounds good to me. I have 5 bookcases in my home office, they're all full, and that doesn't count the ones I had to pack away when I ran out of room! My husband and I are both readers. His office has just as many books as mine does.

I was so sure it would go the other way.

It's a great book! I proofread the original for him and was a contributing editor to his PC Techniques Magazine. He and I have been friends since 1989. Yeah, I'm name dropping. 😀

This weekend, I'll be reading through the novel I'm nearly done writing. It's my first Romance novel and is somewhat based on how I met my husband on a blind date. I was told that he was looking to meet someone to have dinner with or go to a movie. We celebrated our 30th Anniversary back in August.

Not only do I know Pascal, I learned Turbo Pascal first. That's how I met Jeff Duntemann back when he was editing Turbo Technix Magazine. I got a free subscription for buying Turbo Pascal. We've been friends for 35 years now.

The =C 64 is where I learned to program in interpreted BASIC. That was my first programming language. I've added a bunch of them since including 8086 Assembly Language, Pascal, Python, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, and even a little Go.

I've been using this one for years. It's well worth knowing. Thanks for sharing.
