Good point. I think what matters is peak temperature full stop - no matter whether its 2100, 2300 or 2050. Thats what we should be measuring. Anything else is fiddling the figures.

I agree that 1.5C is no longer achievable, 2+C is likely and we should prepare for this. But Im not sure 5C? That would mean not only are there no more NDC improvements, but even existing commitments not met. My money FWIW is on about 3-4C.
