I'm impressed with the amount of gradient you're able to achieve with this setup! I'm assuming, also, a 720nm pass filter? I'm surprised at the lack of veining in the subject, but maybe that's from the very low light level.

I have the same modded camera, and a small handful of clip-in filters. They're expensive, but a heck of a lot cheaper than a 97mm 720nm filter, lol! I'm looking forward to seeing the results, when you get to it!

I'd be really interested in seeing that lens on a full spectrum camera. I'm betting there's a massive softening of the infrared--far more with the X-Ray lens than is seen with standard visible light lenses.

"Enshitification" is the term used by Defcon folks. Do it slow enough that nobody notices. When you make the comparison you just did, and suddenly it's painfully obvious. I could go on about this phenomenon lol
