The point of having our military in Europe has always been to have forward deployed troops in case our enemies, such as Russia, start wars. The point is to fight against them there so the wars aren't brought to the U.S. This also provides protections to host countries. A symbiotic relationship.

I served in the Army in Germany for 5 years. The friendship between our militaries and citizens was amazing. I saved in Bosnia during a peacekeeping mission. All of the European military members I served with were allies. We should not be abandoning our allies. It makes me sick.
